Session count doesn't match user count

Recommended Posts

Guest ladybugs

Greetings,

I am performing ramp-up testing.

I created 5 profiles.

I ramp up from 1 to 5 users in 5 minutes, then 1 to 10 users in 5 minutes, etc, in increments of 5 (i.e. 1 to 15, 1 to 20 and so on).

Each profile records a unique user hitting site (to start session) performing actions (adding to a cart, for example), logging in to cart, checking out, then logging out.

I have my socket time outs set to 30 seconds each and I select the option to have each session complete. My report columns are set to 5 every 60 seconds.

The question is, my session count is considerably lower than the number of users. I would expect the session to match the number of users executing tests. I'm not seeing any errors. I'm not entirely clear how to interpret this.

Has anyone else seen this? WAPT, can you please provide guidance. I saw another user post a similar question and she/he was asked to send their test to you so I'm not sure how that question was resolved.

(If tests are attached are they accessible to everyone?)
