WAPT Pro - Collect SQL performance counters statistics

When I click to Test ODBC connection I receive the message: "Data source name not found and no default driver specified".

 

I have configured a System DSN for the sql server to connect to. What am I missing?

Open Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC) > System DSN. Select data source and click Configure... Check all settings when finish dialog opens click Test Data Source... . If test secceeded check the name of Data Source in WAPT.

I have setup on server that holds the sql server a dsn as described above

 

in the wapt workplace, i check collect sql performance

dsn = is the name of dsn that i named on server

user and password are for what ?

 

i enter sa user and password .. but still get "Data source name not found and no default driver specified".

 

how does the workplace knows from dsn name where the sql server

on my local pc, need to create a dsn that references database on server

then call it from wapt pro

Yes, you are right. You should configure system DSN on a computer where WAPT Pro Interface is installed.
