Verification help of my test scenario

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've been tasked with implementing load testing into our QA process. I really like WAPT, but being a newbie at this whole load testing, I'd just like to make sure I'm doing things correctly. Here's a brief rundown on my test scenario. I'm just a bit confused on how to handle cached page elements.

I'm going to be load testing a ecommerce site. My first scenario is for a user that's just browsing the site. The site has the basic layout of Category>Sub-Category>Product View. I recorded a scenario that browses a category then views a product. I created variables so that when played back the test will randomly choose a category, sub-category & product. Currently, the product thumbnails that are loaded on the product view pages are being cached. The product thumb is being recorded as a page element. Do I need to do anything else to handle the cached thumbs?

Thanks in advance.

If a link to a product thumb is dynamic you need to convert such page element to sub-request and make its link dynamic.
