Concurrent connections vs transactions per second

Recommended Posts

Guest alupaer

We are looking at the transactions per second and the page response time for measuring performance of the servers. The Infrastructure team we work with is more concerned about concurrent connections on the server.

We have done some cofigurations to our tests so we begin to see the number of concurrent connections rise, and mirror more closely the connections that the infrastructure team would like see for peak load on the servers.

Is there any type of configuration that will translate the number of users set in the test volume to concurrent connections made to the server? (concurrent connections = user test volume) we havent't found a good formula for this yet. thanks much.

Hi,

you can disable Keep Alive option. In this case, the number of hits per second will equal to number of connections per second.

Each user makes one connection, so the number of users will equal to the number of connections made at this moment of time.
