We are hoping to use WAPT to run performance testing against the desktop and mobile version of our site. It displays different pages depending on the user-agent used. It is quite common to display different views depending on the user-agent used.
WAPT allows you to specify the user-agent when running tests, but not when recording tests. This forces you to manually create any tests that are not based on the ie-user-agent. This is horrible for any site that uses viewstate.

WAPT uses IE for recording. You can use different browser for recording. Follow the instruction below:
1. Run WAPT.
2. Start recorder (click the Rec button).
3. Determine WAPT process ID (PID) in the Task Manager.
4. Execute the "netstat -a -o" command in command prompt to determine the listening port used by WAPT (marked with its PID).
5. Set HTTP proxy in your browser as localhost:<port number>.
6. Now you can record all actions in that browser.

Hi,
Is it possible to run WAPT recorder to listening on all IP addresses or at last on other IP than localhost (127.0.0.1)?
I'm trying to use remote user to perform some activities for latter test purposes.
Please advice,
Robert

It is not possible now. We need to change the code and recompile WAPT to make it possible.
