Hi,

I am very new to this software and still getting to grips with the fundamentals.

Following highliths my objective:

When recording a script, I am loading this page:

Step1) http://xxxx.housingintelligence.co.uk/inde...;accountId=xxxx

Step 3) The request then outputs a response which incudes: CFID=xxxxx&CFTOKEN=xxxxxx

I then load:

Step 3) http://xxxx.housingintelligence.co.uk/inde...p;CFTOKEN=xxxxx

My question is how do I make the CFID & CFTOKEN into variables so that upon, runing the stress test sytsem would automatically extract these variables from (Step 2) and submit it as variable into (Step3)

I would be very grateful if you tell me in detail as to what I need to do.

BTW - I have tried to go through the help section but wasn't too clear on how to proceed just didn;t have enough screen shots etc. Also, have guys considered uploading movies of some of the common task? In my opinion that would be brillaint as we wouldn't be bothering you guys so much

Hi Ashan,

First of all, it's not a trouble for us at all to answer your questions However, we indeed think about creation of more detailed manual in future.
As for your case, in general, it seems that you can use the function $Search or Parameter from URL - $UrlParam
If you provide us with more accurate link for step 2 (server response), I will be able to make a step-by-step instruction and place it here.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Here is the server response I get when I have loaded the first URL (Step 1):

</response>

As seen here from the response, I am only interested in extracting the CFID=1014604&CFTOKEN=32333430 and then use it as part of the URL used in Step 3 above.

I hope this is sufficient info for you to help.
